Benoy was appointed to come up with an innovative solution in designing a low density retail project while creating a green park to benefit the Hsin Chu communityin Taiwan, with a majority of young family population.
Hsin Chu is known as‘The City of Wind’, and the architectural concept is inspired by the this notion. By bringing the landscape to the roof of the low-rise retail using green slope, Benoy has created a three dimensional green retail experience, for a size of 55 320 m2.
The project is directly connected to the Hsin Chu High Speed Rail Station. During the design stage, Benoy also looked into resolving the existing traffic problem by providing new transport interchange and extra car parking space at basement level.
This development is set to become a green icon for Hsin Chu, providing a complete leisure retail experience and transport convenience. Hsin Chu Station Mall adds to Benoy ’s growing presence in Taiwan which already includes the completed Megacity scheme in New Taipei and the future multi-purpose sports facility, Farglory Dome, in the capital.
