During the operation a total of 105 historical artifact pieces were seized. While it seemed like an ordinary operation for the gendarmerie team, the valuable plate showed its importance.

The plate, which is estimated to date back at least 2,000 years, has very striking figures which dazzled officials.

As the plate was delivered to the Bandırma Museum Directorate, two suspects, who attempted to sell it for 2 million Turkish Liras, were taken into custody.
